Hello there...
Welcome to my adventure! My family's Colorado home is our base camp for this incredible journey we call life. My husband, Matt and I have traveled around the world from Sweden and Bali to France and Kauai. Now, as parents, we enjoy taking our children across the country visiting national parks from New York to California. Every adventure sparks inspiration for design.
Our most memorable weekends are the ones spent outside. The motto I spun up during one of our many wild adventures, changed my mindset forever. As I rode along the Colorado Trail in Sand Dunes National Park, I pondered how much easier it would have been to just stay home. Then, it dawned on me. Either way,
life isn't easy, so make it an adventure
My decorating style is simply that; to incorporate my client's lifestyle into their home. My home is designed to promote and inspire adventures through decor, organization and flow. Incorprating functional spaces to organize all our winter gear or camping supplies has created more stress-free, quick mornings of loading up and heading out. Our house is now a base camp for our travels. Upon returning home, every item from our trip has a place, that is reachable, for all members of the family to put their things away. I aim to give my family the independence and ability to quickly depart our base camp, with all they need. No longer hearing a continaution of, "Mom, where is my...?"
I'd love to help create such tailored spaces for your life's journey. I patiently work with all clients to create functional homes that hold the necessities of life, while reflecting and sharing their favorite stories.
As a former first grade teacher, with a Masters in Teaching, I enjoy listening to the individual desires of each client and teaching techniques to achieve harmony in the home. I am a fifth generation daughter of designers and developers, dating back to Dabney & Sons Furniture est. in 1910. Combining such passions and experience in design and education, I hope to help you create a space that accentuates your energy for life!

Designing spaces is woven into my DNA, which makes sense considering I’m a former microbiologist. I fell in love with design as a young girl, pretending to design golf courses, textiles and bright pink bedrooms. As I grew older, I loved both interior design and science, but ultimately science won out when choosing a major in college. It wasn’t until I stayed home full time to raise my children, that I reconsidered what I wanted for my future. I found that my love of design took precedence over my interest in science. It’s important for me now, that my children see their mother follow a childhood passion.
Designing a space is similar (analogous) to putting together pieces of a puzzle, bringing design components together to create a cohesive space that is inviting, yet intimate. I tend to gravitate towards a combination of Scandinavian and Nordic aesthetics, bringing comfort and warmth to minimalistic designs. In such, interior design requires this beautiful synergy of creativity and analytical thinking.
